Holy Smokes

Last weekend I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to buy Cubs @ Red Sox tickets. I was slightly bummed that I was only able to get $55 tickets that have a bit of a restricted view of the pitcher and/or catcher. But then I looked on Stub Hub today out of curiosity and saw the Standing Room Only tickets going for $125!!

Now I feel like I found a golden nugget while searching for tickets for over 20 minutes that Saturday morning. It'll be neat to see my first game at Fenway with Matt and Brian... and for it to be the first time the teams have met in Boston since the 1918 World Series. I'm hoping it will be a playoff game type atmosphere!!!

It's time for me to start getting excited about the tickets I've been buying. Oh yeah, and I'm going to be on a softball team again this year! YES!

Flying By

I can't remember the last time I've had a day fly by this fast. It feels good to get so much accomplished, but there still aren't quite enough hours in the day. Just gotta keep the head down and hopefully by the end of the week I may have my head above water.

Hope everyone had a Happy Valentine's Day. I've been enjoying my cookies from Tom and Laura... peanut butter, chocolate and oatmeal... oh my!

What I could be doing...

Right now, I could be helping celebrate Sofia's 5th birthday, or I could be mooching a free meal off the parents, or I could be headed down to the Bradley game with the Muno's. But as you might assume, I'm at home, on the couch, blogging on my laptop.

Just not feeling up to par today. I got up and headed into work for a few hours this morning. I managed to stay crazy-focused for 3 hours, then I had to get out of there. I ran a couple errands and picked up some lunch for Laura and myself.

Shortly after, the day started to catch up with, along with my lack off sleep. I'm quite sleepy, with a hint of congestion, and some serious gurgling. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that a good night of sleep will leave me feeling ready to take on the day tomorrow morning.

But for tonight, I shall take it easy with a pet in my lap keeping me warm. I'll start with Jinkies, and if I get too fidgety, then Sparky will be more than happy to take the vacated spot.

Snow Days of Winter

I surprisingly didn't post anything last week during the blizzard and thundersnow storms. Unfortunately, I didn't get time off of work. Thanks to todays technology, I was able to work from home. I really could have used a break from the stress, but then again, not getting any work done would just made the stress increase.

Have I ever mentioned I like caller ID? Just got a call, the TV screen popped up the name of who was calling, Bradley U, and I didn't have to budge from the couch or stop my blogging.

Anyway, work has been quite busy. I'm not sure when we'll get over the hump, but I did manage to clear off a corner of my desk today. Did you know the color of my desk top is a speckled gray color?

Time to proof a few things this evening for work. Later.
