Last weekend I drafted the players to start out the season as Mai Guys in the Sweet Swings of Summer Fantasy Baseball League.
We have some returning faces and a bunch of newbies that have been working on proving themselves during Spring Training and are ready for the season to start next week!
I am happy to report that I once again have Chicago Cub on my team. I'm hoping with the craziness of Zambrano out of the clubhouse and new coaching staff, Garza will have a stellar season.
I am excited to report that after joining the Miami Marlins, Jose Reyes was required to cut off his dreads! Wish they had up-to-date headshots of my guys on yahoo.
Just in case you don't believe me:
What happened to his dreads? Locks of love? not exactly...

St. Louis Getaway Concert
I've been MIA from the bloggosphere for quite some time. I thought I'd stop by tonight for a quick visit.
I had quite the fun weekend, so I thought I'd share. After a half day of work on Friday, I headed down to St. Louis for a Matt Nathanson and Kelly Clarkson concert.
I'd seen Matt open for Sugarland and wanted to make sure I got to the show early enough to catch him. I did a quick dry from the hotel to the Fabulous Fox theater, so I knew where I would be going for the concert. I got through the super narrow streets unscathed, and picked up some Qdoba and sweet treat for dinner.
To change from the Cubs shirt I was wearing all day, to go to a concert in St. Louis. Nah, I was cool my Cubby bear. I'm glad a I didn't change because it made for a fun conversation with Matt Nathanson. He put on a great show, so I bought his newest album, and then he stuck around after the show for some meet & greets with the fans.
This was the first time I've seen Kelly Clarkson and she put on a wonderful show. I really liked her jibber-jabber with the audience. It's like she was just kicking back with a few thousand of her best friends. The set wasn't over the top and the vocals sounded great. She even had Jason Aldean there to sing a duet with her. I never knew he had suck a big head... hah!
On the way back to the hotel after the concert, another inanimate object struck again. About $55.00 later and with the help of dad, I will have a new passenger side mirror soon enough. With those narrow streets and the foggy-drizzly weather, I couldn't wait to get out of St. Louis. I'll have to hit the zoo another time.
