A night at the ballpark.

2, 4, 6, 8... 10?
Who do we appreciate?
Hot dogs!
Can you match up the hot dog consumption (2, 4, 6, 8, 10) with the appropriate person?

The Cheeto Tree

There's a tree at work that must grow Cheetos. My car was covered with orange powder by the end of the day. You can see some of it below. If the windshield wasn't so reflective, you could see a ton more!

Air Show 2009

Today the family went to the Air Show. Unfortunately Laura wasn't feeling up to par and went home to try to kick her cold. I walked part of the show twice... once with Tom and Mom and the other with Dad and Tom. Below are some of my better shots. Taking pictures of planes breaking the sound barrier isn't the easiest thing to do. I'm really happy with the new camera and got quite a bit practice in today. I would have put captions on the photos below, but I didn't grab a program and don't have that good of memory. Any comments and feedback are welcome!
Enjoy!

Crazy Sugarland

I read about Sugarland hiding a ticket at a local Green Bay Walmart for their show last night. They put the hint up on Twitter for people to see. I hope to find the "Key to Sugarland" when I'm in Denver. Did Sugarland really go to Walmart?

They seriously crack me up! Definitely my kind of band.

Aramis Ramirez

Reed Johnson

Non-Rainy Chiefs Game

Tom and I went to the Chiefs game today to watch them, Aramis Ramirez, and Reed Johnson. We tried to get down their early to watch batting practice and maybe get a ball hit on to Jefferson, but we missed the big bats. Lessoned learned and good lunch was had by both. Mmmm... gondola, grapes, and natural cheesey poofs.

We eventually made our way into the stadium some 6,000 or so other people. Jim, Jeremy, and Vince also joined us. Jim and I sat in our seats for a bit until a couple wanted to switch with some of us, so they could sit closer to a friend of theirs in a wheel chair. Jim and I "took one for the team" and moved down to the first row behind home plate!

Starting lineup.
Where's Waldo... I mean Vince, Jim and Tom.
Aramis preparing for the pitch with Nelson in left field.
Reed Johnson's swing for a base hit.
From behind home plate... Reed stands extremely close to the plate!

Animals

I went to the zoo today. I wanted to go yesterday, but it rained all day. I walked down to the zoo and got there as it opened. My plan worked, I was able to avoid most of the families with kids and strollers. I could have spent more time "in Africa", but the crowds started to come in around 11:00, plus Tom called to head down to the Chiefs.
