The Week of Dots Concludes

I like having something to look forward to each month and have been able to line up some concerts or baseball games throughout the summer, leading up to my friend Matt's wedding in October.

With my different events and being a member of two softball teams, I started to actually use the calendar in my iphone. When you look at the calendar, each day with an event/appointment will appear with a dot on it.

Last week was the week of dots, and a bit overwhelming for me. But, it was fun!

The dots started last Sat-Sun when Mom and I took an early Mother's Day weekend trip to Dubuque, IA to watch the Classical Mystery Tour. The local symphony did a wonderful job playing with the four main stars. I was pretty familiar with 17 of the 20 songs they played. It was another nice trip with Mom.

Two dots on my calendar represented 8pm and 9pm softball games, Tuesday and Thursday, respectively. I feel like I may be a good luck charm on one team and a jinx on the other. La Gondola is 3-0 and Take It Easy is 0-3. My biggest hope is getting my bat back. I'm hitting the ball hard, but to the pitcher is not helpful.

Three dots on my calendar belonged to seeing the local production of Chicago at Peoria Players Theater. It's my all-time favorite musical and it can't get any better than live, so I took advantage of the gift certificate my parents gave me for Christmas. Thanks to all my dates, Kristin (Wed), The Muno's (Fri), and Laura (Today). Yes, even if I couldn't find anyone to go with me, I still probably would have went three times. That's probably not a shock to most.

I think that leaves yesterday's dot, The Avengers 3D with Tom! To prep for the movie, I "watched" a few of the Marvel comic movies I hadn't seen. I watched Thor completely with Tom on Monday and really enjoyed it. I watched Captain America on double-time while doing my banking Tuesday night, and I took in Iron Man 2 while cleaning the living room Saturday morning.

I'm curious how much the 3D really added to The Avengers... I think could have seen it in any version and still would have enjoyed it, or maybe I'm just to used to seeing movies in 3D, I don't know what they used to look like anymore. Either way, I love my super heroes!

It addition to all those dots, I did go to work during the week and even stressed myself out about a review. I can't remember the last time I had a review and really don't like them. Good news is, I survived. Now on to another week... thankfully with less dots.
